Hello!

So glad you have found me, well, that’s if you like food, actually, that is a massive understatement, I rephrase, if you LOVE food. If not, then this blog really isn’t for you.

If you want to join me on my whirlwind foodie adventure around London and maybe a little bit further afield then hold on tight as I am about to show you the good, the bad and the plain ugly. Please note: The latter two I will try to avoid at all costs but you never know there may be one or two bad restaurants in there!

As well as going to various pop-ups, restaurants, foodie festivals and street food stalls I also blog about recipes that I have tried and tested and also some of my own personal recipes that I have come up with.

Why all of this fuss I hear you say?

Since the grand old age of three when I was put in a wheelbarrow and wheeled down to our family allotment to ‘help’ my father with the gardening I think I fell in love with the big fat raspberries that passed my lips as well as maybe some of the worms! Hmmm. I really hope that it is the raspberries that gave me a taste for all things good but I may owe some thanks to the worms too! Ever since I have been fascinated by the beautiful textures, flavours, colours and smells that can be evoked from putting some great ingredients together.

Therefore this is my personal journey and education of the glorious world of food.

The kitchen is most definitely the heart of my family home.

A few facts:

Food has been at the centre of my family life for generations. My great grandfather was a master baker in the lovely town of Southwold and my father is an amazing gardener who has successfully managed to feed a family of  eight very hungry mouths. My mother is a fantastic cook and is always found at the Aga slaving away over a gigantic pot or two. Together they make a great team and us children make a great team too. Nothing is ever wasted.

I moved to London in 2011 and fell in love with the huge variety of foodie places that there are on offer. This has found me eating out way too much, learning about new dishes and being inspired to try my hand at cooking various new combinations.

Many of you always ask me for recommendations on places to go. Thanks to you, this led me to start my blog so now you can view all of my thoughts in one place.
